About

We inspire young people, raise aspirations and create positive memories.

Gifted Young Generation (GYG) is The Grand Healthy Living Centre’s youth service and designed to help young people to develop skills for their futures, create friendships and support young people’s mental health and wellbeing.

We're based in Gravesend town centre, where there’s something for young people to do every evening of the week. We run youth clubs across the borough, activities in schools, singing workshops, cooking classes and have a podcast.

We work with professionals from different industries to inspire young people, from arts and culture to sport and business – and everything in between.

We’re lucky enough to work with West End actors, respected health professionals and talented artists who have worked across the UK for major events such as Glastonbury Festival.

Mental health and wellbeing is at the heart of everything we do. We provide essential services such as our one-to-one counselling service, peer support groups and by fostering friendships throughout the variety of groups and workshops we run.

Our flagship annual event is a showcase of young people’s talents and skills, which takes place each November in a local theatre. The event helps raise thousands of pounds for Active Listening, our youth counselling service.

Gifted Young Generation began more than 10 years ago as Gifted Young Gravesham. Since then it has grown every year to include more opportunities for young people.
